Dear Sir or Madam
I am writing to invite you to speak to students during our school careers advice week.
My name is Marie Smith and I am one of the members of a school committee that organizes a careers advice week, which will take place in the first week of April. We want to present different career paths to our students and help them expand their horizons about the world of work. I would be grateful if you could come and give our students an inspiring talk about this topic. In my view, it would really benefit our students to hear a motivational speech from someone who works in an employment centre.
I am sure you have your own thoughts about the speech, however, in addition to your own ideas, I would like to suggest some of my ideas of topics which you could cover. I would recommend explaining what it is like to work in an employment centre as well as what to expect when you decide to visit it. My other topics ideas are as follows: how to choose the right career path for you, what are your options in the world of work, is there a test to help you choose a career.
I hope you will consider my request to give a speech at our school about the world of work, it would mean a lot to our school. I look forward to hearing from you.
