- The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a walkway on Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street in Los Angeles, USA, which is decorated with more than 2,000 five-pointed stars with the names and surnames of famous personalities of film, music and television. Not only living people but also fictional characters have to have a star here. The first star was placed here on February 8, 1960 for actress Joanne Woodward. The sidewalk is managed by the Hollywood Historic Trust. The conditions required to obtain a star are consent to the organization of the ceremony and payment of $ 25,000 for the ceremony.
