Halloween is an American holiday, but it is also celebrated by many people in Britain. It is celebrating on the 31St October. It is funny holiday for children. A pumpkin is a symbol of Halloween, but also witches flying on broom, cats, ghosts, goblins, skeletons, spiders. People carve pumpkin and put candle inside it.
On that day adults go to work and children go to school and at the evening children dress to costumes and parents stay at home. Children dress costumes like witch, vampire, zombie, ghosts, skeleton, but supermen, batman too. Children come from door to door and say: “trick or treat “ – it means give me something or I will make dirty your house and adult give them sweets.
People play game bobbing – prepare basket with water and apples, get hands behind back and try to take by mouth apples from water. In Czech this holiday we do not celebrate.
