Yellowstone National Park was estabilished in 1872 on the territory of Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. It was the first National Park in the USA. It’s the largest and oldest nature reserve in the USA. The park is known for its wildlife.There is also geyser area with hot springs. The most remarkable is Old Faithful. It includes spectacular falls and impressive canyons of the Yellowstone River. Yellowstone National Park covers an area of almost 9 km2 including lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-elevation lakes in North America and it’s centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent.

 

Yosemite National Park was estabilished in 1890 in Northren California. It covers an area about 3 000 km2. On average, about 4 million people visit Yosemite each year and most spend the majority of their time in the Yosemite Valley. Yosemite is internationally recognized for it’s granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves, lakes, mountains and glaciers. Almost 95% of the park is designated wilderness.

 

Arches National Park was estabilished in 1971.It’s home to over 2 000 natural sandstone arches including the most popular Delicate Arch, Landscape Arch and Double Arch. It contains the highest density of natural arches in the world. Millions of years of erosion have created these structures located in a desert climate. Forty-three arches are known to have collapsed since 1977. The park receives on average 250 mm of rain a year. The area was originally named a National Monument in 1929 and it was redesignated as a National Park in 1971.

 

Sequoia National Park was estabilished in 1890 in the southern Sierra Nevada. It was established in 1890. The park is famous for its giant sequoia trees including the General Sherman tree which is the largest tree on Earth. The General Sherman tree grows in the Giant Forest which contains five out of the ten largest trees in the world.

 

Death Valley National Park is the hottest, lowest, and driest place in the United States. Daytime temperatures have topped 54°C.

 

Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States. The Niagara Falls are fames both for their beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power.

 

The Grand Canyon is a steep-sided canyon carved by the Colorado River in the U.S. state of Arizona in North America. It is managed by Grand Canyon National Park.The Grand Canyon is 446 km long, up to 29 km wide and attains a depth of over 1,8 km.

 

New York City is the most popular city in the United States. It lies on the east coast at the mouth of the Hudson and East Rivers and covers an area of 780 km2 and  it has over 8,5 million people, New York City is also the most densely populated major city in the United States. It’s divided into 5 districts : Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island (Richmond). It is one of the most important financial, commercial and cultural centres in the world.

Los Angeles also know as L.A. is the cultural, financial, and commercial center of Southern California. It is the second-most popular city in the United States after New York City and the most popular city in California. The city is also famous as the home of Hollywood, a major center of the American entertainment industry, and one of the leaders in the world in the creation of motion picture, recorded music, and television productions. Los Angeles also has a diverse economy in culture, media, fashion, science, sports, technology, education, medicine, and research.

 

Las Vegas is the 28th-most popular city in the Unite States. Las Vegas is an internationally known primarily for its gambling which was legalized there in 1931, shopping, fine dining, entertainment, and nightlife. It is the leading financial, commercial, and cultural center for Nevada.
