Tento přehled vám pomůže systematicky popsat obrázek v angličtině. Postupujte krok za krokem – nejdříve popište, co vidíte obecně, potom místo, počasí, lidi, jejich činnosti a nakonec atmosféru.
U dvou obrázků využijte porovnání (similarities and differences). Vyzkoušet si to pak můžete na testovacích obrázcích tady. Pokud chcete umět popsat a srovnat obrázky naprosto dokonale, ideální je podrobný průvodce od Studijni-svet.cz. Jako základ samozřejmě postačí návod níže.
1. Všeobecně – co vidíte
Začněte obecně – uveďte, o jaký typ obrázku jde a co na něm je.
- In the picture, I can see…
- There is / There are…
- The picture shows…
Příklad:
In the picture, I can see two children playing in a garden. There are some trees in the background.
2. Place – místo
Určete, kde se scéna odehrává a co je kde umístěné. Používejte výrazy vyjadřující polohu.
- in the kitchen / outside / at school
- on the left (hand side) / on the right
- in the middle / in the background / in the foreground
- above / under / next to / behind / in front of
Příklad:
In the foreground, there is a woman sitting at a table. Behind her, we can see a window with curtains.
3. Weather / Season – počasí a roční období
Popište, jaké je počasí, případně roční období.
- It is nice weather.
- The sun is shining.
- It is raining / it is cloudy.
- It is winter / summer / spring / autumn.
Příklad:
It’s a sunny day and the sky is clear. It looks like summer.
4. People – osoby (věk, vzhled, oblečení)
Popište, kolik lidí na obrázku je, jak vypadají, co mají na sobě a jaké mají vlasy. Používejte přítomný průběhový čas (Present Continuous) a popisujte logicky.
- How many: There are three people.
- Age / type: young / old / children
- Hair: fair / blond / brown; long / short; curly / wavy / straight
- Height: tall / short
- Clothes: He is wearing trousers / a shirt / a skirt / a blouse + colour
Příklad:
There are two young girls and one man. The man is tall and has short brown hair. He is wearing a blue shirt and black trousers.
5. Activities – co dělají
Popište činnosti, které lidé na obrázku vykonávají. Použijte přítomný průběhový čas.
- They are skiing.
- She is eating.
- He is reading a newspaper.
- The children are playing football.
Příklad:
The children are laughing and playing with a dog. The woman is taking a photo of them.
6. Atmosphere – nálada a dojem z obrázku
Vyjádřete celkový dojem nebo náladu scény pomocí vhodných přídavných jmen.
Adjectives you can use: adventurous, happy, sad, active, boring, slow, quiet, loud, sincere, crazy, excited, funny, pleasant, miserable, mad, unusual, strange, relaxed
Příklad:
The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. Everyone seems to be having a good time.
Srovnání obrázků (Comparing pictures)
Pokud popisujete dva obrázky, zdůrazněte rozdíly i podobnosti.
Rozdíly
- In the first picture, there is… while in the second picture, there is…
- The architecture is very different: …
- Compared to…
Příklad:
In the first picture, there are a lot of people, while in the second one, there is only one person.
Stejné / podobné prvky
- Both pictures show…
- They are the same.
- The architecture is similar.
- Just as / like / similarly.
Příklad:
The architecture is the same – both houses are modern.
Spojky a porovnávací výrazy
Pro vyjádření vztahů mezi obrázky používejte tyto spojky a výrazy:
- But, On the other hand, Whereas, Different, Difference, Both, The same, Similar, Similarly, Also, As well, Too, However, On the contrary, Yet, In contrast, Like, Just as, While, more, -er (bigger, better, smaller than)
Příklad:
The second picture is brighter and more colorful than the first one. Both pictures show people enjoying their free time, but in different ways.
