My favourite actor
Sylvester Stallone is an American actor, director, screenwriter, and producer.
He was born in the Hell’s Kitchen neighbourhood of Manhattan, New York on July 6, 1946. His father was born in Italy and moved to the U.S. in the 1930s, while his
American mother is of French and Ukrainian-Jewish descent. His younger brother is actor and musician Frank Stallone. Silvester had complications in childbirth. As a result, the lower left side of his face is paralyzed. An accident which gave him slurred speech. His father moved the family to Washington, in the early 1950s to open a
Beauty school. In 1954, his mother opened a women’s gym called Barbella’s. Stallone attended Notre Dame Academy and Lincoln High School in Philadelphia. Since childhood he wanted to be an actor, so he played in the movies some small roles until 1976 when he gained worldwide fame for the film Rocky to which he had written the script. Rocky was nominated for ten Academy Awards, including Best Actor and Best Original Screenplay nominations for Stallone. The film went on to win the Academy
Awards for Best Picture, Best Directing and Best Film Editing. Following the success of Rocky began his great acting career. He has been effective in a total of 47 films in the lead role and he still filming on. There is no one in the world who doesn’t know him.
